Hello my name is Jack, and The Lamp Workshop consists of myself, my father and my two brothers-a small team of dedicated craftsmen who undertake projects such as on-site chandelier restoration in London and across the UK, and workshop-based repairs, rewiring and restorations too.
My father Glen joined the business in 2007 after spending three decades with Collier and Webb bespoke lamp makers, using the skills and experience he developed during his forty-year career as an engineer. Today, my father’s work can be seen at many historic sites across the world, including some of the UK’s royal palaces!
My brother Glen apprenticed to my father, and is now a skilled engineer in his own right. Glen junior specialises in lantern making, and the design and sympathetic restoration of chandeliers, lamps and other forms of lighting.
Finally, my brother Bruce is our CAD designer and CNC machinist and operator, and my own role is to take care of the electrical restoration and rewiring side of things, as well as managing customer liaison.
WHAT WE DO
Our combination of complementary skills allows us to provide a full service for our clients, whether you are looking to restore a precious antique chandelier to its former glory, or wish to repair a lamp or lighting fixture that you have purchased for a new design project. We are equally capable of managing both small, bespoke projects, and large, comprehensive restorations.
Wherever you are, we can take care of your chandelier repair or lamp restoration. London and the South East is where the main body of our on-site work takes place, and we have built up strong working relationships with a range of highly renowned interior designers and antique dealers in the city as a result. However, we can of course undertake on-site projects in other areas of the UK too.
We understand the challenges of managing interior design or restoration projects and all that they entail, and so we work to your schedule-we don’t keep strict nine to five hours, and are here when you need us.

We work with Sotheby’s Auction House to repair and rewire large and often, highly valuable lamps and chandeliers for their clients, which has helped us to secure our reputation as the premier chandelier rewiring London specialists.
